Riders travel from far away to explore Ajijic, and the corner of Paseo del Lago and Camino Real is an excellent place to start. Camino Real is a boulevard with a long horse path/park. A beautiful place for some fabulous shots like the title picture for this post. Check your settings; with trees on both sides it is darker than you think. Especially on the weekend there is a horse culture that is very photographic. Early to late afternoon puts the sun behind your subject, just to keep in mind. The upside is there are a lot of people, horses, dogs that are great subjects for a unique photo. This corner has a group of a dozen or so horses for hire. You can often see groups of family and friends riding around the neighborhood. If you’re lucky the farrier might show up to take care of some horse hooves.
